Fishing at 6841 Old Tipton Rd
We allow open fishing at our lake, but only when the following rules are followed:

No littering, take off our property what you bring onto our property. We do not want to clean up your broken or unused tackle, bait, lunch, soda and beer cans or bottles, childrens dirty diapers, or any other trash.

Access

Park only on the dirt area between the Tipton county sign and the library, not on the grass. If your car is on the grass on the Shelby county side, please move it.

Anyone under 18 must be with a parent or guardian.

Access is allowed to the road side bank, or up the driveway to the sign stating the limit. Past the sign or around the back of the lake is not for public access.

No boats, kayaks, canoes, etc., without express permission from us. Even when such permission is granted, no gas motors, only paddles or electric trolling motors will be allowed.

Only Fishing

Only fishing is permitted, there is no hunting of any type on the property. We enjoy the wildlife and want it left alone.

If you catch it and plan to eat it, take it, otherwise throw it back.

There are live power and cable lines over the driveway, don't overhead cast there, you can see our hanging lure museum on the lines from people who tried.

There are fallen trees and debris in the lake, keep this in mind when selecting what lures to use.

No cooking or fires of any kind.

Venture at your own risk.

There are snakes, foxes, assorted wildlife, bees, wasps, hornets, hidden holes, fallen trees, debris, stumps, stakes, poison ivy/oak/sumak, fishing lures, not to mention water. Please be careful and closely watch any children.

Old Tipton Road/Mead Lake Road is an active road, there are cars driven by people that can't read speed limit signs.

No horseplay, weapons, or illegal drugs.

By being on our property you accept ANY and ALL liability, and hold us harmless in all matters.

Keep the noise to a reasonable level, no music, excessive shouting, gunfire, etc.

Understand, this isn't public property. This is our private property that we have opened to share with others. It's not a right nor something we are obligated to do or continue.
Being on our property, while not following these rules will be considered trespassing, and prosecuted via video surveillance.
If you are told to leave by us is it immediate and permanent, not open to debate.
