T3 Horizontal Spinner TobyTopia |
Loss by KO | Video |
The USB connector (used for supplying power) on my Arduino controlling the bot broke off on the first hit, cutting all power to the microcontroller and RC receiver, and therefore all signal to the ESCs. I tried pure TPU printed body panels, including the receiver holes for hardened bolts. Found out quickly (when my robot disintregrated) that TPU just doesn't have that kind of grip, and metal nuts are needed. First loss in a double elimination tournament. |

Win by KO | Video | Switched to a standard aluminum BotKit D2 body as redesigning and printing the TPU panels wasn't an option during a tournament. |

Rematch from last tournament, several solder connections to my motors broke. 1 motor was removed from the body, another case of TPU being extremely strong, but not a lot of compression grip. |
The King Birmingham Bots |
Loss by KO | No video yet | Replaced motors with broken leads, ended up with more broken solder connections. Placed last place of the 3. |
A rematch with T3 (TobyTopia) was intended, but Murphy's law interfered and he had to drop from the tournament. |
